Introducing the New Earthen Elegance Suite

This is a bit of an ‘extra’ blog post this week. It’s not a tutorial, but I wanted to show off all the different makes I did with the brand new Earthen Elegance Suite from Stampin’ Up! There is so much to love about this suite and so many different cards you can make so I wanted to show off a few of my own designs to give you some inspiration.

The Earthen Elegance Suite from Stampin’ Up! Comes with:

  • Earthen Textures Cling Stamp Set
  • Earthen Textures Die Set
  • Earthen Elegance 12×12″ Designer Series Paper
  • Natural 1/4″ Wavy Trim Ribbon

The Suite colours include Copper Clay, Gray Granite, Misty Moonlight, Moody Mauve, Pebbled Path, Pecan Pie, Pretty Peacock

I was on a bit of a ‘monochrome’ crafting kick this week (stay tuned for the weekend tutorial about this!) so I used the new 2023-2025 In Color Collection and the new Pretty Peacock colour to coordinate with the Earthen Elegance Designer Series Paper (DSP) in this set. The new In Color Collection includes Boho Blue, Copper Clay, Moody Mauve, Pebbled Path and Wild Wheat. I have to be honest, I wasn’t sure I would I would like a few of these colours but now that I’m working with them, I absolutely love them. Photos don’t do justice to how rich and beautiful they are! I also used a couple of other products from the new catalog too. There’s a complete list of supplies at the end of this post.

How these were made:

These cards are all based on the A6 Australian Card size with double matting.

  • Card base is A5 (148.5mm x 210mm) folded to A6 (148.5mm x 105mm).
  • Outer Mat is 143mm x 100mm
  • Inner Mat is 133mm x 90mm
  • Card front is 128mm x 85mm.

To make a similar sized card using USA card sizing, adjust to:

  • Card base A2 – 8.5″ x 5.5″ folded to 4.25″ x 5.5″
  • Outer Mat – 4″ x 5.25″
  • Inner Mat – 3.5″ x 4.75″
  • Card front – 3.25″ x 4.5″

For all of these cards, the card base and inner mat were the same colour cardstock – one of the 2023-2025 In Color cardstock or the Pretty Peacock cardstock which is one of the new colours added to the permanent range. the Outer mat is cut from Basic White Thick A4 cardstock and embossed with the Quatrefoil Tile embossing folder. The card front is either another piece of Basic White Thick embossed with the Quatrefoil folder OR a piece of the Earthen Elegance DSP.

The sentiments are all from the Earthen Textures Cling Stamp Set. They are stamped with either one of the ink pads that matches the card base, or with VersaMark and heat embossed with white embossing powder.

The elements on the card fronts are all created with the suite – stamped and die cut shapes or shapes die cut from the DSP or the coordinating cardstock. The Natural Wavy Trim Ribbon that comes with the suite was used in some cards while the 2023-2025 In Color Jute Trim was used in others. I also used the Metallic Enamel Effects Basics in one of the cards. These are also new and are fabulous to work with.

I hope these cards inspire you to play with this fabulous suite and make your own amazing cards. You can find the products used to make these cards below. Happy stamping!
