Stampin’ Dogs
Come and learn how to make amazing cards!
In 2020 I went down the rabbit hole of learning papercraft. It was the start of the pandemic lockdowns and all I had to guide me was youtube and whatever supplies I could order online. I had no idea where to start or even what supplies I actually needed. This meant I bought a lot of stuff that was ’wrong’ or ‘poor quality’ or just ’not quite right’. It was a huge trial and error. I finally stumbled onto two product lines that opened up a whole new creative world for me…. Stampin’ Up and Tim Holtz products. I use both regularly but for different styles and different reasons.
Stampin’ Up is what really changed my world. The products are all coordinated making it easy to put together images and backgrounds. They are also very high quality yet affordable. The demonstrator I connected with helped me understand the differences between dye inks, solvent inks, hybrid inks, embossing tools, and everything else. This discovery so changed my ability to create using ink and paper that I ended up becoming a demonstrator myself. If you are local to Ballarat and want to book a card making class or have a card making party with your friends, contact me here. If you live anywhere in Australia and want to source really good quality stamps, dies, inks, papers, embellishments and tools, then check out my Stampin’ Up site here.
The other amazing products I’ve learned to love are all the fabulous wonderful things by Tim Holtz. His signature vintage grunge look is really fun to work with but also lends itself great mixed media projects. I have a lot of fun combining Stampin’ Up products with Tim Holtz and even Dyan Ravealy products to create unique fusion styles, like the card in the photo above.
In addition to my crochet creations, I’ll be posting videos and photos of papercraft designs on this site.
