I wanted to make a card this week that met a few criteria:
- It needed to be monochrome using one of the colours from the new 2023-2025 In Colour collection to highlight how amazing Stampin’ Up! colour coordination is.
- It needed to be an easy fun fold.
- It needed to be a shaker card – because I wanted to use the beautiful new irridescent shaker circles.
The result is the Wine Not! card made using Moody Mauve as the main colour. This card uses one of my favourite stamp sets – Bottled Happiness – and the Vintage Bottle punch and shaker dome. Most measurements in this post are in metric. At the end of this post is a list of all of the products used to make this card with links to my shop to check them out.
The fun fold design has been CASEd* from Dawn’s Stampin’ Thoughts. I always give credit where credit is due. Please hop over to her blog and check out the great things she is doing! Dawn’s pattern is for US sized cards. I’ve adjusted it to suit Australian sized paper and cards.
*(CASE = Copy and Share Everything – a mainstay of papercrafting is to pass on what you learn… always giving credit to the original source of course!)
How to Make this Card
Cut Plan:

A – Card Base: Moody Mauve A4 Cardstock cut to 148mm x 210mm (A5 size) – score at 105mm
B – Card Front: Moody Mauve DSP cut to 143mm x 100mm
C – Tab: Moody Mauve DSP cut to 40 x 130 mm scored at 105mm
D – Circles: Using repositionable glue or glue tape, place B on top of A. Keeping the card unfolded, and using the 3″ Circle die from the Stylish Shapes die set, cut a circle through both layers of the card front. Cut a second circle from a piece of Moody Mauve Cardstock.
E – Inside Cardstock: Cut Basic White A4 Thick Cardstock to 143mm x 100mm.
F – Front Sentiment Tag: Cut Basic White A4 Thick Cardstock to 1.25cm x 9cm.

The 2023-2024 In Colour Designer Series Paper (DSP) matches the five In-Colours. There are four designs for each colour. The paper is double sided with a different design on each size. The papers measure 6 x 6 inches and a pack contains 40 sheets – 2 each of 4 designs in 5 colours.
Instructions
Assemble the Main Card Base:
Affix B (Card Front) to A (Card Base) with permanent adhesive, taking care to align the circles.
Punch one end of C (Tab) with the Very Best Trio Punch – make sure it is the long side of the fold and not the short end.
Put E (Inside Cardstock) in place inside card but do not affix yet. Fold C(Tab) at score line. Place C over E and align with centre of Circle, looking through front of card. Put adhesive on the back of the short side of the fold and affix to the back of E so that the tab wraps around E.
Stamp sentiment on E (if using one) taking care that it will not show outside the circle. The sentiment used on this card is from the Bottled Happiness stamp set.
Affix E to the inside of A. Set aside for now.

Assemble the Shaker Circle:
Take one of the two Moody Mauve circles and stamp with the floral stamp in the Bottled Happiness stamp set using the Moody Mauve ink pad. Stamp randomly to cover the circle. When the ink is dry, punch a bottle shape out of the centre of the circle using the Vintage Bottle punch. Put the bottle in your stash to use in another project.
Hint: to make it easy to centre the circle in the punch, but a bit of repositional glue on a strip of cardstock and affix it to the circle – use it as a handle to insert the circle into the punch.

Remove the adhesive from the front of the Vintage Bottle Shaker Dome. Place the circle that is stamped and punched over the shaker dome and press it down firmly to affix it securely to the circle.
Place the Irridescent Shaker Circles on the other Moody Mauve Circle. Take care to keep them bunched up together so that when you put the shaker dome over them, they will all be contained within the dome. If any of them end up on the tape line, the shaker dome will not seal and elements can escape.
Place blue or tape on the back of the circle with shaker dome, being careful to keep it outside the tape line of the dome. Remove the backing from the back side of the shaker dome. Turn circle over and affix to the other circle, carefully aligning them so that once sealed, it makes one circle with the shaker elements contained within the shaker dome.
On a small piece of regular paper, stamp the ‘wine label’ from the Bottled Happiness set using the Moody Mauve ink pad. Once the ink dries, stamp the ‘wine not’ sentiment from the set with Versamark and heat emboss with white embossing powder. Fussy cut the label out and glue to the front of the shaker dome.

Finishing the Card
With the main card closed, affix the circle assembly to the tab, making sure the circle fits neatly inside the circle cutout on the main card.
Glue three lines of Natural 1/4″ Wavy Trim to the card front. The ends of this will fray which adds to the vintage look.
Stamp piece F (Front Sentiment Tag) with the “Let’s Get Into the Spirit” stamp from the Bottled Happiness stamp set. Punch the ends of the sentiment tag with the Banners Pick a Punch. Affix the sentiment tag to the ribbons using Mini Glue Dots.
Voila! Your card is finished!

Hint: Mini Glue Dots are awesome! They are flat and strong holding. They are perfect for affixing embellishments, ribbons, sentiments, etc when you need a good hold between odd surfaces.
